SUNDAY SCHOOL will be held today following the Children’s Story. We will gather downstairs in the social hall. Children will need to wear masks. Friends are always welcome!

COFFEE WITH THE PASTOR will take place virtually on Thursday, October 22, at 7:00 pm for one hour. You’ll find the Zoom link under Upcoming Events.

VETERANS DAY is Wednesday, November 11. To honor men and women in our community for their military service, St. Paul UMC would like to have a special listing of them in the bulletin for our November 8 worship service. If you have not previously provided information and would like to add someone, please send Joanne ( or 301-963-2185) the veteran’s name, branch of service, and specific years of service. Submission deadline is Monday, November 2.

VOLUNTEERS are needed to assist the Re-opening Task Force on a rotating basis by doing temperature checks and assigning seats as worshipers arrive on Sunday morning. Please respond to Ruth Hornseth ( or 301-977-0563) if you can assist.

TRUNK OR TREAT will be held on October 31, 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the church parking lot. We will feature a parade and lots of Halloween treats. Bring your carved pumpkin for a pumpkin contest. Below are some ways we, as St. Paul, can make this event great!

  • Invite your friends! You can send them the Facebook event, invite them personally, or – if you want to hang up a posture somewhere – let Pastor Will know and he will make sure you get one.
  • Sign up to help in some way. The Trunk or Treat Sign-up sheet can be found at (On the sign up, simply click “Yes” under the task you would like to help with. You don’t need to fill out anything except contact info so we can organize the event.)

Help us have a safe time. Please contact Tina Burke (301-253-1719 or to register your family/your friends’ attendance at this event. We need everyone to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and refrain from coming if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19.

HOW TO SUPPORT THE CHURCH with your tithes and offerings: Mail checks to PO Box 5006, Laytonsville, MD 20882; set up direct bill pay through your bank; or go to the Give Online button here on our website to give online through where you can pay using your bank account or credit card, and set up recurring payments if you’d like.
